When you create an account, we collect information like your name, email, and role (client or lawyer). Lawyer profiles include additional professional details such as specialization and location. As you use the Platform, we also store case, hearing, and document data you or your lawyer/client add, along with reviews you leave and basic usage information.
We use your information to operate the Platform — creating your account, matching clients with lawyers, showing case and hearing details to the people involved in a case, sending you notifications and emails you'd expect (like a reminder or a reply to a support message), and improving the service.
Some features (like legal hints and case analysis) send relevant case text to a third-party AI provider to generate a response. We only send what's needed to produce that feature's output, and it isn't used to train the AI provider's models beyond what their own policies specify.
Your data is stored using Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, and Storage), which encrypts data in transit and at rest. Access to case and document data is restricted to the client and lawyer involved in that case, plus platform administrators where needed for support or moderation.
We don't sell your personal information. We share it only: with the lawyer or client you're working with on a case, with service providers who help us run the Platform (such as our email delivery and AI providers), or when required by law.
If you're a lawyer, your profile (name, specialization, location, and ratings/reviews left by clients) is visible to the public so clients can find and evaluate you. Clients' reviews display the name they registered with unless we note otherwise.
We use essential cookies and local storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We don't use third-party advertising trackers.
You can review and update most of your account information directly from your settings. You can also request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account by contacting us — we'll retain only what we're required to keep for legal or record-keeping purposes.
We keep your information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Platform's features (such as historical case records). If you delete your account, we remove or anonymize personal data within a reasonable period, except where retention is required by law.
LegalCircle is intended for adults seeking or providing legal services. We don't knowingly collect information from children.
